A former Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Energy Matters, Prof. Abubakar Sani Sambo, has advised the Federal Government to start thinking of alternative sources of revenue generation, especially that the future of oil was gloomy.
Sambo said this on Thursday during the launch of the first solar powered electric vehicle charging station in Nigeria, by the Nigeria Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC).
He said solar remains the most sustainable charging station for electric vehicles.
The Director General of NADDC, Jelani Aliyu, described the event as a milestone in the history of the country.
He said the NADDC was partnering Usmanu Danfodio University Sokoto, Lagos University and University of Nigeria Nsukka to build charging stations for electric cars in the country.
