The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo as governor-elect of Anambra State.
INEC returning officer. Professor Florence Obi, made the declaration at exactly 1:50am on Wednesday in a press conference in Awka, Anambra state capital.
She said Soludo, who is candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra election, garnered a total of 112,229 votes.
He was followed by Mr Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 53,807 votes; and Senator Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who had 53,807 votes.
