Vice President Kashim Shettima would inaugurate the commissioners and board members of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) on Wednesday.
The hajj commission board would be inaugurated at the Vice Presidential Office at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, it was learned.

On January 10, 2024, President Bola Tinubu appointed three commissioners, six zonal representatives and two stakeholder representatives.
Earlier on October 2023, President Tinubu appointed Malam Jalal Ahmed Arabi as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NAHCON after he sacked Mr Zikirullah Kunle Hassan.
On February 23, 2024, the Senate had confirmed the appointment of Mr Arabi and the three statutory commissioners.
The commissioners are: Aliu Abdulrazaq (Commissioner, Policy, Personnel, & Finance), Prince Anofi Elegushi (Commissioner, Operations), and Professor Abubakar A. Yagawal (Commissioner, Planning & Research).
The zonal and stakeholder representatives are:
1. Dr. Muhammad Umaru Ndagi — North Central
2. Abba Jato Kala — North East
3. Sheikh Muhammad Bin Othman — North West
4. Tajudeen Oladejo Abefe — South West
5. Aishat Obi Ahmed — South East
6. Zainab Musa — South South
7. Professor Musa Inuwa Fodio — Jama’atul Nasril Islam
8. Professor Adedimizi Mahfouz Adebola — Supreme Council on Islamic Affairs.
