Emir of Funakaye in Gombe state, Alhaji Muazu Muhammad Kwairanga IIl, is dead.
The emir, who was appointed some 15 months ago, died in the early hours of Sunday.
Alhaji Kwairanga was in Gombe, the state capital throughout Saturday, where he attended a function with the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Pantami.
An aide of Gombe State governor, Abdul No Shaking, has confirmed the news of the monarch’s death.
He said funeral prayers will take place on Sunday by 2:00 pm at the emir’s palace in Bajoga, headquaters of Funakaye LGA.
The late Kwairanga was installed as the Emir of Funakaye in June, 2021.
He succeeded his elder brother, Alhaji Abubakar Kwairanga, who died on May 20, 2021.
