About 30 villagers were abducted by bandits at Budah village, in Kajuru Emirate in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE learnt the incident happened on Monday night when heavily armed bandits stormed the small settlement.
Locals said no resident was killed, but the bandits took the victims to an unknown destination.
One of the youth leaders in the area, Ben Yuhana, who confirmed the incident, described it as worrisome.
“They moved the victims like animals into the bush. But nobody was killed. It’s really unfortunate,” he said.
There were no immediate comments from the state police command as efforts to reach its spokesperson ASP Mansir Hassan by telephone were unsuccessful.
