Bandits on Saturday abducted 11 residents, including six housewives and two children, of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) staff quarters in Kaduna.
Sources said the bandits invaded the quarters around 12:10 am on Saturday after gaining access through the airport’s runway.
FAAN spokesperson, Henrietta Yakubu, confirmed the incident.
She said 11 persons were abducted, including a staff of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, NAMA and his entire family, and a wife and child of staff of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMET.
She said the gunmen attacked two houses before they moved to the airside of the airport.
A resident said the intervention of the military prevented the gunmen from abducting the entire residents of the quarters.
