The movie consist of Nollywood and Kannywood Actors which is based on true life experiences of almajiri students in the Northern part of Nigeria.
The commencement of the making of the film was announced by the producer, Darlington Abuda on his Instagram handle “@peekaboomg” which Ayo Makun was announced as Executive producer.
Almajiri is designed to tell a very common story of almajiri children who are subjected to the high level of poverty faced by most families living in that region.
These children often wander the streets begging for food, clothes, making them vulnerable to chronic ill-health, sexual and physical abuse, human trafficking, slavery, drugs abuse, among others.
The movie will be directed by Toka Mcbaror.
Others to feature in the movie include: Ayo Makun, Annie Idibia, Alexx Ekubo, Adam Zango, Segun Arinze, Samuel Perry (Broda Shaggi), Seyi Law, Kanay o Kanayo, Sani Danja, Saeed Mohammed (Funky Mallam), Asabe Madaki and Segun Ogundipe.
