Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state has directed the immediate dissolution of the state’s Mining Joint Task Force.
This was contained in a statement by His spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, announced this in a statement in Osogbo on Wednesday.
The governor further directed that all government vehicles and documents in the possession of the former JTF be handed over to the Solid Minerals Committee.
Adeleke, however, directed that the JTF be reconstituted.
“I consequently direct the Chairman of the Solid Mineral Committee to take necessary steps to ensure a seamless transition from the old to the new JTF.
“The new team when constituted must operate with the utmost professionalism with zero tolerance for misconduct,” the statement quoted Adeleke as saying.
