The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal filed by Aishatu Ahmed, also known as Binani, challenging the election of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa state.
Justice John Okoro, who read the lead judgement, said the suit was lacking in merit.
Mr Okoo also held that a resident electoral commissioner lacks powers to announce election results.
