Senator Magnus Abe faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, says it will participate in the April 2021 local government elections in the state.
The other faction loyal to transport Minister Rotimi Amaechi said it will boycott the poll.
The Abe’s faction, which spoke in Port Harcourt on Wednesday said they were committed to ensuring that its members were fully involved in the polls.
The state organising secretary of the party, Charles Nwile, said the party is determined to redeem its image in the state, and urged all members irrespective of their previous dispositions to the local council’s election to participate in the election promising level-playing field for all aspirants.
