The Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum, has advised the south-south and south-east leaders to make friends “across the divides” in order to negotiate for power ahead of 2023.
“To our friends and brothers in the south-south and south-east particularly, only God gives power but you have to negotiate for power and negotiation is easier when you make friends across the divides”. Zulum said on Friday while speaking at the 17th Chief Gani Fawehinmi annual lecture in Lagos.
He said he is an advocate of equity that every section of the country should be given the opportunity to rule the country, but people that are interested must be negotiated for it, as power is not given on the platter of gold.
