Veteran Kannywood producer, Abubakar Bashir Maishadda, has cautioned his fans over a Facebook in his name used by some criminal elements to defraud unsuspecting individuals.
He said suspected criminals have been defrauding some individuals using a fake Facebook account, promising them to register and feature them in a movie.
Maishadda said he never has a Facebook account, neither did he ask anybody to open one on his behalf.
“People should be vigilant concerning pages they follow on Facebook, as it’s another scheme used by fraudsters to scam and extort money from them,” he said.
This is the second time Maishadda would dissociate himself from a Facebook account.
People had accused him of extorting money from them for registration into kannywood film industries.
