Two members of the House of Representatives from the he All Progressive Congress (APC) in Katsina state have decamped to the New Nigeria Peoples Party NNPP.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE gathered that the lawmakers left the APC in protest following their failure to retain their tickets.
The members are Babangida Ibrahim Talau Malumfashi/Kafur constituency and Armayau Kado Kurfi Dutsin Ma/Kurfi constituency.
One of Armayau Kado’s legislative aides, Bature Ibrahim confirmed the his boss decamped to the NNPP and would contest for reelection in the party’s primaries.
Babangida Talau wrote a letter to the APC Chairman in his ward in Malumfashi, informing the party of his decision to quit the APC.
Though he didn’t announce the party he would be joining, one of his aides, said Talau ha picked APC Senatorial ticket to contest for Katsina south (Funtua zone).
Also, one of the APC governatorial ticket aspirants, Umar Abdullahi Tata announced his defection from the party to the Peoples’Democratic party PDP.
Tata, who got eight votes during the primary election, announced that he would be retuning to his real party to fight the “injustice” meted out to him
