The Zamfara state government has announced the temporary relocation of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camp from Tsafe local government area to the state capital Gusau.
The deputy governor, Senator Hassan Muhammad Nasiha, revealed this Sunday afternoon when he received the Director General of NYSC, Brigadier General M K Fadah, in his Gusau residence.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE gathered that the NYSC suspended camp activities in the state last year following widespread increase in bandits’ attacks with Tsafe local government being one of the most targeted areas.
Mr Nasiha said it was understandable that the camp was suspended.
He added that the state governor has directed the allocation of any available facility in the state capital to the authorities of NYSC for immediate relocation and onward resumption of the official NYSC engagements.
Speaking earlier, General Brigadier Fadah said they were in the state to inspect the proposed temporary site and select the best location as approved by Zamfara State Government.
