Masked gunmen have abducted a housewife with her children in Sapele, headquarters of Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State.
The kidnappers also made away with the victims Toyota Sienna Car, 2007 model they took place at Okirigbagha in Okirighwre area of Sapele.
The husband of the lady identified simply as Faith was driving when the attackers struck at about 10pm on Friday. They were returning from the market, according to residents.
The kidnappers waylaid the family in front of their residence on Ojo Alaba Street, Okirighwre when the husband was trying to open the gate.
Residents said the hoodlums took the husband unawares as they pointed gun at him to disarm him of his vehicle, adding that the kidnappers drove to unknown destination with the man’s family.
The husband wrote on Sapele Matters, a Facebook page, thus, “My family has just been kidnapped in my Sienna Car at Ojo Alaba Street Okirighwre” to alert neighbours of his predicament.
“Toyota Sienna 2007. My wife’s name is Faith. She get cosmetic store for Okirighwre Junction.”
Meanwhile, the abductor has yet to make contact with the husband or any family member as of the time of filing this report.
Security agents are yet to make official statement on the incident.
