A man has been electrocuted while trying to steal transformer cables in Lambu village, Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State.
That incident happened Wednesday at midnight.
Witnesses said the yet-to-be identified man had already removed some of the cables in the transformer and kept them near the transformer before his electrocution.
They said they heard the sound of an electrical spark in the night and also heard the scream of the man before he died.
The deceased was found hanging on the transformer alongside his phone and SIM cards.
The incident was reported to the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the police and Kano Electricity and Distribution Company (KEDCO).
