The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said it has arrested the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Gusau, Professor Magaji Garba, for “obtaining money by false pretenses and contract scam.”
This was contained in a memo sent by the anti-graft agency to the minister of education, signed by the agency’s acting director of operations, Umar Hadejia.
In the memo January 30, 2021, Garba said the agency had detained the vice chancellor and further development would be communicated to the education minister later.
