Chief Tony Momoh, a former minister of Information during the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida, is dead.
He was 82 years old.
Momoh, an indigene of Edo state and chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), died on Monday.
He was a veteran journalist and became the national chairman of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), one of the legacy parties that merged to form APC.
