Thirty-one people, including a hunter, have been killed in bandits attack on Zazzaga Community in Munya local government area of Niger State.
Scores of villagers were also abducted by the bandits in the attack that took place at about 2am on Wednesday.
A security source said the hunter was killed while exchanging fire with the bandits.
The Commissioner of Police in the State, Monday Bala Kuryas, who confirmed the incident, said the police was already tracking the assailants in order to rescue the kidnapped victims unhurt.
Secretary to Munya local government council, James Jagaba, about 68 persons were abducted by the bandits.
