Benue NUJ loses chairperson
The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Benue State Council, Victoria Asher, is died.
Secretary of Benue NUJ, Moses Akarhan, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday.
He said Asher died on Saturday at about 8am at the Federal Medical Centre, Makurdi after a Ceascrean Section.
The late Asher was delivered of a set of twins on January 23, 2021, before the complications arose.
Asher emerged chairperson of the NUJ, Benue Council in December 2018 after the demise of her predecessor, David Ukuma.
Until her death, Asher worked with the state’s Radio station.
