The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Dr Hafsat Ganduje, the wife of Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
The anti-graft agency arrested the Kano first lady over alleged bribery and land fraud case reported by her own son, Abdulazeez Ganduje.
Mrs Ganduje has failed to honour the EFCC invitation on September 13, over the petition. Instead, she was seen in the United Kingdom with her husband and other family members, attending her son’s graduation.
EFCC operatives are questioning Mrs Ganduje over allegations relating to land fraud in a petition by her own son, Abdualzeez.
Abdulazeez reportedly fled to Dubai after he filed the petition. He didn’t also not attend his brother’s graduation in the UK.
Mrs Ganduje was arrested Monday evening by the anti-graft agency’s operatives.
The Kano First Lady was interrogated at the EFCC headquarters Abuja.
