Lagos House of Assembly has passed the bill on the prohibition of open grazing in the state.
The assembly also passed the bill on Value Added Tax (VAT) during the plenary session.
The bills scaled second reading on Monday, and were passed on Thursday after unanimous votes by the lawmakers.
The house had subsequently held two separate public hearings on the bills on Wednesday, with different groups invited to air their views.
The Speaker of the House, Mudashiru Obasa, has directed the Clerk of the House, Olalekan Onafeko, to transmit copies of the bills to the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for assent.
However, the zonal secretary of South-west chapter of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN), Maikudi Usman, pleaded for more time to train its members on how to stop the practice of open grazing.
