All Progressives Congress (APC) has slated its local government congresses for Saturday, September 4.
The party announced the date for its congresses through a statement by its national caretaker secretary, Senator John James Akpanudoedehe, on Wednesday in Abuja.
Akpanudoedehe said sale of forms for the congress has already begun.
The party’s Ward Congress took place on July 31 in 33 states and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) while the party suspended the exercise in Anambra, Bayelsa and Zamfara States.
Akpanudoedehe had on Friday, announced the timeline for the local government congress for the first week of September but failed to state the tentative date.
He was refuting reports that the caretaker committee had indefinitely suspended the local government and state congresses, describing the information as false and unfounded.
