The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has quizzed former Governor of Bayelsa State Seriake Dickson over alleged corruption and abused of office.
Sources said the former governor was grilled at the headquarters of the anti-graft agency in Abuja on Tuesday.
Dickson, a serving senator now, was interrogated for more than five hours according to sources at the EFCC.
There is however no official statement on why the former governor of the oil-rich state was invited and interrogated.
Another source said Dickson was allegedly questioned for “abuse of office” and “mismanagement of about N1 trillion” while he held sway as Bayelsa chief executive.
EFCC reportedly invited Dickson over many petitions it received against him bordering on corruption and abuse of office.
