Shehu of Dikwa in Borno State Alhaji Mohammed Ibn Shehu Masta II El-Kanemi has died, according to the Secretary to State Government, Alhaji Usman Jidda Shuwa. The prominent traditional ruler’s death occurred on Saturday.
The announcement came shortly after Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umara Zulum, presented Staff of Office to the Emir of Biu, Alhaji Mai Mustapha Umar Mustapha, on Saturday.
Burial of the late traditional ruler will hold in Maiduguri on Saturday at 5pm.
Zulum, the Shehu of Borno, Dr. Abubakar Garbai Al-Amin Elkanemi, and other Emirs who attended the coronation of the Biu Emir are already on their way back to Maiduguri to attend the burial.
