A former member of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abdulmumuni Hassan Ningi, has been released by his abductors.
Ningi was kidnapped on Monday on his way home around Isa Yuguda Guest House.
Reports said a family member confirmed his release to journalists, saying the former Bauchi lawmaker regained his freedom on Wednesday around 11 pm, even though he refused to disclose whether any ransom was paid to secure his brother’s release.
He said his brother was traumatised by the experience, adding that he is in dire need of medical attention to ensure he is psychologically okay.
