A former Minster of Women Affairs, Hajiya Aisha Jummai Alhassan, who died on Friaday after a protracted illness at an hospital overseas, will be buried on Sunday.
A media aide of the late ex-minister, Bala Muhammed, said the body of the deceased will arrive in Jalingo, Taraba State on Sunday.
He said the funeral prayers will be held in the evening of the same day.
Thousands of mourners and sympathizers are trooping to the family house of the late ex-minister located opposite the palace of Emir of Muri in Jalingo, the Taraba state capital.
The late ex-minister died at 62.
She was appointed in 2015 to the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari after his election, but resigned as the Minister of Women Affairs on July 27, 2018.
Earlier, she was elected as senator from Taraba State. She was registrar of the Federal High Court Abuja; and attorney general and commissioner for justice in Taraba state.
