A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State Alhaji Abdulmalik Atiku Milton has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Sunday in Birnin Kebbi.
Milton said his decision to join the PDP was because the APC government in the state was built on deceit, adding that it has failed to deliver as the populace are living in anguish.
The state chairman of the party, Haruna Sa’idu, who received the new decampee, said if the likes of Milton, who contributed to the APC winning in the state, could decamt to the PDP, it means “the PDP is on its way to taking over power from the under-performing APC government in the state.”
“We have all seen footage that has gone viral on social media in which a top notcher of the APC condemned the APC government of the state for poor performance. Therefore, for us, PDP is a political party for all. Anybody willing to join us is welcome. I am also enjoining all of you to continue to woo others to our fold,” he said.
