Two bandits were killed by soldiers during a night ambush along the Gwagwada-Chikun road in Chikun local government area of Kaduna state.
The state’s Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday.
21st Century Chronicle learnt that the bandits, who were on motorcycles, charged through troops ambush and were consequently neutralised.
Aruwan said several items, including one motorcycle, one locally made rifle, a mobile phone, and some wraps of Indian Hemp, were recovered after the night operation.
He said Governor Nasir El-Rufai congratulated the troops for the successful operation while praising their pro-active disposition.
