Ghana has closed its parliament for at least three weeks after 17
legislators, 151 supporting staff contracted COVID – 19.
The speaker of the house, Alban Bagbin said the legislature will be in
recess until March 2.
Bagbin said the parliament and its premises will be disinfected and sanitized.
“I have, in consultation with the leadership, decided that the sitting
of the House be adjourned for three weeks,” he said.
