The Kaduna state government says 15 people have died in the last 72 hours while driving against traffic along Kaduna-Abuja expressway.
The state’s Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, disclosed this is in a statement on Sunday.
Aruwa said the information was presented in a research feedback to the state government by the military and security agencies conducting security operations along the route. He said the figure was presented along with a report of the latest crash that occurred early Sunday morning around the Greenfield University in Chikun local government areas of the state.
The commissioner said Governor Nasir El-Rufai had expressed dismay at the report, and called on drivers plying the highway to desist from dangerous practices.
