Eleven All Progressives Congress (APC) governors have visited former national chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
Adamu resigned as the national chairman of the party on Sunday.
The governors, under the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), were led by the forum’s chairman, Senator Hope Uzodimma, to the residence of the former governor of Nasarawa State in Abuja.
The governors are those of Katsina, Ebonyi, Sokoto, Niger, Gombe, Benue, Jigawa, Imo, Ogun, Kebbi and the acting governor of Ondo State.
The governors appealed to Adamu to continue to support the party
They took turns to praise the former national chairman for ‘taking a bow’ in the interest of the party.
The governors also commended Adamu for leading the party to success at the presidential and governorship elections in many states.
They told him that they are the products of his success during the general elections.
Adamu said the governors came to appreciate his leadership.
