The Borno State Government has announced that the late spokesperson to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State, Malam Isa Gusau, is to be laid to rest in Abuja on Sunday
The State government announced that his janazah (burial) prayer will hold by 4pm at the Central Mosque in Abuja.
Isa Gusau died on Thursday at a hospital in India after a prolonged illness.
The State Commissioner for Information and Internal Security Professor Usman Tar said the remains of the deceased would arrive in Abuja on Sunday afternoon while the burial is scheduled at 4pm.
Tar said the Governor Zulum would appreciate the presence of well-wishers and prayers during this difficult time, just as the governor expressed gratitude for condolences and kind words of sympathizers.
Gusau had served as special adviser on public relations and strategy to a governor of Borno State, now Vice President Kashim Shettima and the incumbent governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, as a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, UK.
He was also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) UK, the International Public Relations Association, UK and the African Public Relations Association.
The late Gusau is survived by two wives, three children, brothers and sisters.
