Zamfara State Government donated a wide range of drugs, medical equipment, consumables, and non-consumable medical items to the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Zamfara State Command, to strengthen healthcare services for its personnel.
The donation was presented by the Zamfara State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Nafisa Muhammad Maradun, on behalf of Governor Dauda Lawal.
She said the gesture reflects the state government’s commitment to supporting security agencies and ensuring that officers have access to quality healthcare services.
Dr. Maradun noted that Governor Lawal’s administration remains committed to improving the health sector and collaborating with security institutions to promote the wellbeing of personnel serving the state.
Upon receiving the items, the Comptroller of the NIS, Zamfara State Command, Audi Musa Maisudan, expressed gratitude to Governor Lawal for the timely intervention.
He described the donation as a significant contribution that would enhance healthcare delivery within the command.
The comptroller also thanked the commissioner for facilitating the donation, assuring the state government that the medical equipment and supplies would be put to effective use for the benefit of officers and their families.
