Sarkin Fulanin Bungudu and Emir of Bungudu in Zamfara state, Alhaji Hassan Atto has been released after spending 32 days in bandits’ den.
The first- class monarch was released Saturday evening according to a statement by Bungudu emirate Council.
The emir was kidnapped alongside a police orderly while another police officer was killed on Kaduna – Abuja highway more than a month ago.
The bandits demanded for N100 million ransom for the release of the emir. But the family paid N20 million weeks ago without the bandits releasing the traditional ruler.

The emir’s nephew told 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE that the monarch and some family members were in Kaduna.
The meditate appealed to the public “to respect the privacy of the Emir in the coming weeks as he receives medical attention and post-trauma management.”
