The governor made this known while addressing members of the Forum of Supervisory Councillors and Advisers during a meeting held at the Government House, Kano.
He explained that the engagement was aimed at fostering stronger collaboration between the state and local government structures to enhance service delivery and ensure that government projects directly impact citizens at the grassroots.
Governor Yusuf revealed that N4.8 billion has been earmarked for development projects across all local government areas as part of his administration’s drive to uplift living standards and promote inclusive growth.
“Our administration is people-focused. We are committed to working hand in hand with local officials to make sure every policy and project reflects the true needs of our communities,” he said.
He commended the councillors and advisers for their dedication and contributions to local administration, urging them to intensify efforts in ensuring effective implementation of government programmes.
In his remarks, the Commissioner for Local Government, Alhaji Muhammad Tajuddeen Othman Zaura, praised the governor’s developmental strides, expressing confidence that his performance would earn him overwhelming support in the 2027 general elections.
