Yoruba controversial activist Sunday Igboho has accused the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, for refusing to tell President Muhammadu Buhari the truth about the criminal activities of herders in the Southwest when he visited him recently.
Igboho disclosed this on Wednesday during a virtual ‘townhall with Yoruba in diaspora.’
He said Ooni disappointed the Yoruba people when he refused to convey the suffering of Yoruba people to Buhari during their meeting.
Igboho had recently handed down a quit notice to Fulani herders in Oyo state leading to violent crisis that claimed lives and property.
The monarch appealed to Igboho not to take laws into his hands after he met with the president.
