Yobe State government has suspended five principals in senior secondary schools in over various offenses, the state Commissioner of Basic and Secondary Education, Mohammed Sani Idriss, has said.
Idriss who disclosed this on Thursday said
letters of suspension have been to the affected principals by the Executive Chairman Teaching Service Board.
“Senior Vice Principals of the five schools have been directed to take charge of running the affairs of the schools with immediate effect,” Idriss said.
“While the Teaching Service Board and the mother Ministry have deployed competent staff to assist in smooth running of the schools, and especially to ensure successful completion of the ongoing WAEC exams.
“The affected Principals would know their fate after facing a disciplinary committee to be constituted soon.”
