The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), has confirmed Bashir Sheriff Machina as the authentic candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Yobe North senatorial district.
The commission disassociated itself from purported primary election which allegedly produced Ahmad Lawan as the APC senatorial candidate for Yobe North and recognised only the May 28, 2023 primary poll that produced Machina as the duly elected APC candidate for the district.
The position of the Electoral Umpire was contained in a legally admissible Certified True Copy (CTC) of the INEC report for the primary election dated 23rd June 2022.
