Executive Chairman of the Yobe State Independent Electoral Commission Dr. Muhammad Mamman, is dead.
Dr. Mamman passed away after a brief illness at Yobe State Teaching Hospital.
He is survived by three wives and 33 children.
One of his sons, Amir Muhammad, confirmed their father’s death, saying “we shall really miss him.”
Dr. Mamman has been buried according to Islamic rites at Central Masjid, Emir of Fika’s Palace, Potiskum, Yobe State, at 11am.
He was Executive Secretary of the Yobe State Hospital Management Board during the administration of Governor Ibrahim Geidam.
He was appointed Chairman of Yobe SIEC twice by Governor Mai Mala Buni and was serving his last tenure until his death.
Mamman was the Shamakin Fika.
