An American lady who vanished more than three decades ago and was later ruled legally dead has been found alive in Puerto Rico, according to her family and the police.
When detectives started inquiring into Patricia Kopta’s disappearance in 1992, she had last been seen in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is now 83 years old.
According to Ross Township Deputy Police Chief Brian Kohlhepp, she was a well-known “eccentric” street preacher who went by the name “Sparrow,” and she was arrested on Friday.
Seven years after going missing, Mrs. Kopta, who has dementia, was taken in as a “person in need” and has been residing in a nursing facility ever since.
