Gary O’Neil was immediately appointed as Julen Lopetegui’s successor as head coach by the Wolves.
Despite leading the Cherries to survival, the 40-year-old, the club’s first British coach in six years, was fired by Bournemouth in June. After Wolves and Lopetegui reached a “agreement to part ways” on Tuesday because of differences in hiring and the club’s direction, he has now signed a three-year contract.
