The Northern Governors’ Spouses’ Forum resolved to continue the borehole drilling project in each state as part of efforts to address water supply challenges to remote
communities.
This is contained in a communique of the Northern Governors’ Spouses’ Forum signed by Hajiya Asmau Mohammed Inuwa and her secretary Mrs. Umaru Fintiri issued at their quarterly meeting held at Zamfara State Government House, Gusau.
The meeting was
chaired by Hajiya Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya the Wife
of Gombe State Governor and it brought together spouses of Northern Governors all to gather where they deliberated on some key issues affecting the Northern region.
The gathering provided an opportunity to review ongoing activities, progress made and discuss plans.
The communique further stated that, the future initiatives of the forum is aimed at improving
welfare of women,children,and vulnerable groups across the region.
“After thorough and productive deliberations the Forum adopted the following
resolutions, resolved to continue the borehole drilling project in each
state as part of efforts to address water supply challenges, the Forum agreed on a new project in 2026 and also agreed to observe the International Charity Day 5th
September of every year. The Forum agreed to be held subsequent meeting after

The Northern Governors’ Wives Forum reaffirmed that, they remain committed to driven positive change and improve the quality of life for
across the Northern Region.
