A traditional ruler of Umuofor Kingdom in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo state, Eze AbdulFatah Chimaeze Emetumah III, has said the transformation of infrastructure in Abuja by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike is making the capital city a global tourist destination.
He commended the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for the giant strides he has recorded so far in overhauling the infrastructure and ensuring security in the capital city in the last one year.
The monarch urged Nigerians to support the FCT minister and other FCT officials in their daring and determined efforts to turn Abuja into a benefiting capital city to be proud of by all Nigerians.
The royal father, who is a member of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria, disclosed this in an interview with journalists in Abuja recently.
“The rapid infrastructural development going on in the FCT within the short period of Barr. Nyesom Wike’s administration as the minister of FCT will soon bring back the city to its glorious days,” he said.
Eze Emetumah said as the fastest-growing capital city in Africa, its massive potential to be a global tourism destination, is possible with the strategic-driven leadership Mr Wike is given the FCT.
He said Mr Wike must further take steps to immediately review the environmental cleanliness mechanisms, which the capital city’s inhabitants must key into to achieve a clean and environmentally friendly city.
