Famous Buhari singer and sensational political singer, Dauda Kahutu Rarara, has revealed the reasons behind the firing of gun shots by Police personnel attached to him during Ramadan food distribution organized by the singer at Kahutu village in Katsina local government area.
According to the singer, despite his advice to the police not to shoot, the police found it necessary to do so to disperse the crowd that was gradually getting out of hand.
“The police couldn’t tear gas because it is fasting period and the crowd is becoming so hostile, therefore they had to fire some warning shots in the air to allow for sanity,” he said.
However, it can be recalled that the video of the incident has gone viral when people saw how the police were firing in the air. Moreover, the incident also generated a serious debate on the issue as regard Rarara’s social status, among other things.
Similarly, the spokesperson of the Nigerian police force Muyiwa Adejobi has written on his verified Facebook page that the force had withdrawn and arrested the police orderly for investigation.
