Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari says restructuring is the only way states would have financial independence and live in accordance with their income.
Masari said this on the sidelines of the 2021 Democracy Day.
He said whatever measure would be taken towards restructuring must ensure that the centre is not weakened.
“I am 100 percent in support of restructuring, devolution or whatever name you call it. This is because Katsina State is not poor, and no state is poor. But this has to go with many things,” he said.
Masari said he will be retiring to his farm after his tenure as governor.
