The Sokoto State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Isa Achida, on Friday, said with the successes recorded by Governor Ahmed Aliyu-led government, 2027 election would be a walkover for them.
Achida expressed confidence that the APC would win all elective positions in the state.
“In 2027, APC will win everything. We will leave PDP with nothing because our people have seen the difference.
“So Governor Aliyu is going to spend eight years in office because the next elections are going to be a walkover for APC.
“It is not our intention to further embarrass our brothers in PDP because we know that, the intimidating record of performance by our government in the last one year is enough to give them adequate discomfort and cause them sleepless night,” Achida stated
He said the Governor didn’t disappoint them.
“It is imperative to remind ourselves that by this time last year, Sokoto was in darkness because key government offices, including the government house were disconnected by the Kaduna electric over unpaid debts.
“Our students were at the verge of losing their admissions at various tertiary institutions due to non-payment of their registration fees for the quick intervention of Governor Aliyu who offset it.
The state chairman of the PDP, Bello Goronyo said they would respond to their statements at the appropriate time.
