The Lagos State Police Command on Thursday warned against any form of protest, gathering or procession in any part of the state.
The state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, gave the warning during a press conference.
The warning came against the backdrop of the plan to #OccupyLekkiTollGate, which came after the ruling of the Lagos Judicial Panel of Inquiry to open the Lekki Toll gate.
The panel, headed by Doris Okuwobi, a retired judge, on Saturday ruled in favour of the Lekki Concession Company (LCC) to repossess the toll plaza for repairs and insurance claims.
Angered by the development, some youths scheduled Saturday, February 13, 2021, for a protest at the tollgate.
But Odumosu said such demonstrations, whether peaceful or violent, will not be allowed to take place.
