Right now, there is more energy in Ukraine than there is in Nigeria. We have no petrol; long queues at our filling stations. We have no electricity.
TCN said Gencos send very little power for it to transmit to Discos. Kainji, Shiroro and Jebba hydel power stations say they lack water to turn their turbines because it is dry season.
Many gas power stations are down because there is no gas. Others are down for routine and not so routine maintenance.
There is shortage of kerosene. There is no diesel to power our generators.
As of Thursday, diesel is selling for N720 a litre in Abuja, triple what it was two weeks ago.
Ukraine has more energy supply than we have right now.
