The Kaduna State Government has declared Wednesday and Thursday as public holidays to enable residents to register in the continuous voter registration exercise (CVR).
This was disclosed by Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s spokesperson Muyiwa Adekeye in a statement on Tuesday.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed 31 July, 2022 as the closing date of the exercise.
The statement urged all eligible residents of the State to seize this window to register to vote, and to therefore be in a position to exercise their right to vote.
It also requested all employers to actively support their staff to register before the closing date.
